Our link rate was calculated at £9.20 per month, yet we are offering this service for between £4-£9 as a one off fee. Why? Our aim is to continue to develop our site into a major advertising portal and we are well on the way to doing so. What are the additional options?
Can you explain ''Entry into two categories relevant to your business"?
You may submit your business into two categories as part of the 'Main Package' price, if you wish to be included in a third category the rate is £3, a fourth category another £2. If you submit to all four categories you get the fifth free.
If a category best suited to your business does not exist, you may suggest one or more for review.
Can you explain "Multiple home page within 'Home Page Directory'"?
Each 'Home Page Directory' entry appears as a single page within the categories your have chosen with their own Search Engine Friendly (SEF) links. What does this mean? A search engine will index links, being search engine friendly means using dictionary words to describe pages. Some pages seen on the web appear like www.example.com/index.php?34ffT56 which means nothing to a search engine, and as a consequence cannot be indexed to compare against seach terms.
YourParish.co.uk uses a function to convert all URLs to SEF links. Furthermore we provide multiple category listings and each each entry has a different SEF link.
For example:
YourParish Ltd has a page which can be accessed via the Directory structure, but also can be found using a direct link in the name of the category/categories and company name. See the examples below and notice the yourparish-ltd.html in the url. Google and other search engines will index these pages by name.
For each category entry a seperate page is created, 2 Categories = 2 Home Pages, 3 Categories = 3 Home Pages and so on....Take a look at the following link examples below:
Notice that each link is directed to the same information but duplicated within 5 directories, however there is only the need to edit one listing to change them all.
Furthermore all Meta Tag Keywords and Descriptions can be customized and will be added to the page code to help focus Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Can you explain "Image gallery supporting up to 20 images"?
The image gallery will allow the upload of up to 20 images which will be displayed at the bottom of your entry (see examples above or screenshot below) as thumbnails automatically resized by the system. There are no upload limits, so an entry may be edited many times without penalty. There is a limit to the size of image uploaded currently set at 1mb (the image below is 6.45KB).
Can you explain "All contact information displayed including link and spam safe email"?
All contact information will be displayed, this includes the link to your own website (if applicable) plus your email. The email address is encoded to reduce the risk of spam.
Can you explain "Editor and Publisher privileges once entry approved"?
There are unlimited edits to entry and once approved can be edited at anytime. All amendments are automatically approved. We are notified of every amendment and will be able to ensure each entry is suitable for publication.
Can you explain "No expiry date"?
As long as yourparish.co.uk remains live your listing will remain, continually being indexed by the search engines. We cannot prdict the future, however we have been live as a directory since July 2002.
What is Google Map?
Google map is a facility that allows the user to click on a link and find your location immediately, a superb but yet simply facility.
